In the event of a crisis, natural disaster, or other emergency, the Navy's top priority is the safety and well-being of our personnel and their families. The Navy Family Accountability and Assessment System (NFAAS) is a vital, web-based tool that allows the Navy to maintain contact with you and provide support when it's needed most. It is critical for ensuring operational readiness and giving our families peace of mind.
All Navy personnel, including active duty, reservists, DoW civilians, and their families, are required to use NFAAS to report their status during an "Order to Account" event. Keeping your information current is essential for a rapid and effective response.
What You Can Do in NFAAS:
- Account for Your Family: Report the status and safety of yourself and your dependents.
- Update Your Location: If you are displaced or evacuated, you must update your current location so your command knows where you are.
- Manage Contact Information: Ensure your phone numbers and email addresses are always up-to-date for receiving important notifications.
- Conduct Needs Assessments: The system allows you to report any assistance you may need, from temporary housing and financial aid to medical or legal support.
- Access Important Resources: Find helpful links and documents related to emergency preparedness and support services.
